This Namibian road trip revealed landscapes far beyond what I expected, from the iconic Deadvlei’s stark clay pan and haunting dead trees, to endless red dunes stretching across the horizon seen from above.
Climbing massive sand dunes and descending into Deadvlei felt like stepping into a surreal painting—a once-thriving lake bed frozen in time beneath the blazing sun. From the helicopter, the vast Sossusvlei dunes roll on endlessly, a fiery sea of sand punctuated by shadows and curves. The colours and scale of this desert are unlike anything I’ve seen, making it a breathtaking highlight of my travels
